Still, it’s hard to look at one of those things up close and not act like a cat seeing a cucumber.

I know Australia being a deadly place is a meme but its not actually that bad. Just look at statistics on how rarely anybody is actually killed by any of the dangerous creatures living there. Good education is one reason, most people there know how to avoid most of the dangerous animals. Other reasons are that a majority of the dangerous creatures are either unaggressive or live only in remote places where they are unlikely to encounter people, or both.
 
In short, the danger is largely hype.

It takes a brave fool to visit Australia, and an all-around badass to take residence there.
 
That said, Australia’s cool. Good weather (Enjoy the heat), but the animals have me concerned (Camel spiders!? No thank you…)
