I’ve seriously gone through lots of laptops, this one in particular is an ASUS ROG and the layout of the chassis really pisses me off, if I wanted to replace the memory or the hdd/ssd I have to remove almost 20 screws and nearly take apart the entire laptop…
I still lug around a Alienware m11x simply because it’s a little tank (ignoring the lcd hinge issue they suffered through) and I REALLY love the lcd indicator on the bottom for the remaining battery power, you can see how much battery is left even with the laptop powered off!
I really, really love Clevo laptops, I currently buy barebone units from RJTech and just buy the remaining parts off of Newegg.
Laptops are fixable. LCD screens are replaceable.
It is not always as easy as fixing a broken or damaged desktop machine. Sometimes the fix-it guy has to go on eBay and find another broken laptop that’s the same make and model and get the parts out of it. But if you are that attached to it, and can’t bear to part with it, it CAN be fixed. It CAN be done.
I actually have a broken laptop that I could probably shoot a couple of times just because I can’t bare to part with it, I think it has a Nvidia 460m in it, but the built in lcd monitor has all sorts of crazy colors going, so it’s not really usable, I really should send it off to e-waste.
Because people apparently love flaunting the fact that they have THAT much disposable income. It’s like when someone posts a gif or a video of someone destroying a perfectly functional laptop.
Plus the idea of using something that’s worth about $800-$1000 brand new for cutting cabbage…
It would be even more hilarious if Brownie got one chop at the cabbage and the tablet before Richard could stop her, but instead of the tablet getting smashed or anything catching fire, one arrow mysteriously gets lodged in the tablets screen. :p
(I didn’t even notice the tablet at first, but watching those videos on YouTube where people chop away using the iPad screen, really sells the point of Gorilla Glass and a proper screen protector)
Edited because: Chop! Chop!
@Prof.NightJack
I’m surprised it hasn’t caught fire already.

Abraham Lincoln said so himself!
D’oh!
And Homer stole it from some random guy on the internet.
Don’t question how he did it before there was even electricity. :p

Just remember, TJ, everything is stolen/borrowed, dating back to at least The Odyssey by Homer.
I cannot believe this image exists.
Nothing is original. Dang
