Correct. Though, it would seem not everyone, official or otherwise, is able to design a weapon or tool made for another species anyway. Which is why human weapons and tools are as prevalent in the show and its subsequent fan art, lol.

Actually, I never published it because I was planning to rewrite a good chunk of it, as I thought some plot devices were really contrived, and events didn’t really mesh well together, but I never got around to it because… well, I’m lazy, honestly.  
I think I still have the original sketch around somewhere, though.

Now that you mention it, I may have read it somewhere and thought it was canon, I can’t really remember.
 
But yeah, that’s basically what I did too, while also enlarging all the buttons to fit gross motor skills better since, y’know, ponies don’t exactly have fingers.

I’ve seen the battle saddles and mouth-guns before, but nothing about incorporating magic into the design of use.
 
One of my friends pointed out similar problems with the FoE gun designs, which is why he settled for more traditional designs in his fanfic (essentially human guns with enlarged trigger and trigger guards).

Huh? I see Little Macintoshes a lot in FoE fan art, not to mention the pair of battle-saddle machine guns that pegasus stallion character usually wields.
 
If anything, I see human guns more often in fan art when the fan art is not related to FoE.

The weapons in Fallout fan art that I’ve seen appear to be designed for humans, not ponies, much like the tools and instruments in the show that closely resemble their human-made equivalents as opposed to tools and instruments designed for use by ponies. X3

There’s two kinds of weapon designs in FO:E, saddle mounted, and personal weapons.  
Anything bigger than a pistol or SMG is mounted in the back with a saddle and point shooting is used to aim. Yes, even the sniper rifles.  
And then there’s the incredibly idiotic pistol design that has ponies grab the guns with their mouths and pull the trigger with their tongues, even with something like the .44 Magnum, which would probably kick all your teeth down if you even thought about it.  
Apparently, they avoid third degree burns, teeth loss, and recoil induced concussions because they have magic protectors or some crap, it’s never really properly explained.  
And apparently, the Zebra rifle is a conventional design, just adapted to horse proportions, but as far as I know that’s only in fan depictions.

Never read FoE and don’t plan to. Could you clarify what you mean?

The weapons reminds me of the tranquilizer rifles in Jurassic World.

I actually did drew up a horse usable gun once.  
Y’know, one that actually makes mechanical sense, instead of FO:E “Shut up, it’s magic” style of design.
