Yeah, everyone had pretty petty reasons for turning evil. Starlight’s was pettier, but that only makes her the cream of the goddamn crop in this group.
Well, Thorax is directly responsible for a lot of changelings (if not all of them) being and looking the way they are now. After only one introductory episode and a season finale too.

Well I should’ve worded my comment better since I know that every character is gonna have at least some people who hate them, but oddly enough, I don’t see that much Thorax haters, excluding those who hate his new design.

That’s not how you spell sunset shimmer. And I like sunset shimmer.
They didn’t have a choice at that point. If it was explained to them before their Marks were switched, they would have shot it down, not trusting the other enough to do the job properly.
Not the problem, the plan to solve it, the switching of roles.
They seemed sure the other was gonna get it after the spell was cast and the situation was explained.
Starlight explained the problem to them, and they just bickered at each other. There wasn’t anything Twi would do that would have worked better.

I don’t think them doing it all at once was a requirement, just their plan in action. Possibly could do it alone. Nothing says they can’t.

That wasn’t swapping powers, just giving their energy to Twi. What Starlight did was different. Besides, they wouldn’t do that by choice if they were asked.
The princess moved around their magic before(giving it to Twilight) and could logically switch theirs, no Mark Magic needed.
