Amplified Animal Apititude being in effect in this universe, the only major change in Spike the dog is his ability to talk to humans.
Why would it? He was one his whole life, still behaves like one much of the time and probably can still comunicate with normal dogs. He still barks.

Spike the Dog was always a pet in the Equestria Girls-verse. Spike the Dragon ain’t a pet, that’s the biggest difference between them, how they act: OG!Spike acts like, well, a sapient dragon raised with ponies, while EG!Spike was a dog who developed more intelligence and speech thanks to magic, but acts like a dog because that’s his race.
