Background Pony #72DB
Being Spike the Regular Dog must be pretty weird, especially with Winona around.
Background Pony #F9F8
It’s kinda odd Spike is considered a pet in this universe. And thinking that when I became a fan of the show six years ago, I initially thought he was in the original series (I didn’t watch the Owlicious episode yet back then).

Spike the Dog was always a pet in the Equestria Girls-verse. Spike the Dragon ain’t a pet, that’s the biggest difference between them, how they act: OG!Spike acts like, well, a sapient dragon raised with ponies, while EG!Spike was a dog who developed more intelligence and speech thanks to magic, but acts like a dog because that’s his race.

This version of Spike is, yes.
In the infinite multiverse, there’s a version of Spike the dragon who had at least two hybrid kids with Rarity the pony. Think (burp) on that, Morty.
