This is fever dream.
Nah. Off the top of my head, Twilight is part of a project involving a new energy source, and then the Decepticons show up to steal it to make Energon Cubes, then the Autobots show up to stop them and the Rainbooms are now involved in this plot involving the Decepticons trying to steal this new energy source. Or maybe they find something magic related afterwards to be a new energy source.
Perhaps the Autobots want to learn from Sunset Shimmer and Company?
