I just wish she had more negative qualities like the one you just mentioned (being a possessive lunatic); that might’ve made her a more realistic and enjoyable character (rather than the typical bland do-gooder that she’s become).

I think Rainbow Rocks gets a free pass on this one due to the sirens getting into everyone’s head. Nobody was thinking clearly, everyone was at each other’s throats, this was not an environment in which calm and rational decisions were likely to be made.

I dunno. Twilight’s reaction to Sunset in this comic is pure terror, so I think Sunset’s supposed to come across as a possessive lunatic, which doesn’t strike me as anti-TimberTwi.

yeah, THAT would have been a better reaction from him. but no, he knew what was going on and did absolutely nothing about it or to help the HuMane Seven. every Equestria Girls film revolves around people playing the Idiot Ball; it’s primarily why I haven’t gone back to watch the series – it is rather stagnant and/or disengaging in a disappointing and slightly perturbing sort of way.
 
and this pic doesn’t make much sense. Sunset attacking Timber unprovoked? okay, I wasn’t too fond of how she got overprotective with Sci-Twi, but this is just plain stupid – this commission is just a mouthpiece against TimberTwi (a relatively harmless ship). some people take their fantasies way too seriously, to the point of blowing a fuse when the show doesn’t go their way. can’t they just learn to keep it to themselves?

Or he could have had a better excuse for not saying anything. I would not have blamed him one bit if he’d simply been too scared and confused to know how to react (which also would have been some decent common ground with Sci-Twi, given what she was going through).
 
Still, at least they didn’t pair Sci-Twi with Flash. Nothing against Flash himself, but I feel like giving her Princess Twilight’s hand-me-down boyfriend would have diminished her individuality.

honestly, I don’t even know why Timber was written to be an idiot. it was stupid of the writers to have him cover up for his sister’s magic-driven shenanigans when he could’ve told the HuMane Seven about it instead; they just made him an imbecile just for the sake of moving the story foward.

It may be canon, but I still have no idea what she sees in him. She nearly died because of his attempts to cover up his crazy-ass sister’s reckless use of magic. To me that would kinda be a dealbreaker. I’m not demanding they break up, mind you, but I would at least like Twilight to acknowledge that her boyfriend is an idiot.
