Nose-to-nose is called Eskimo kissing. Wikipedia states it is based on the gesture you described.
“Kiss on cheek” for my people is “press nose to cheek, inhale”, not “press lips to cheek”. It’s less beslobbering, but I won’t recommend doing it if you have a cold.
I read on wikipedia that ‘nose-to-nose’ kiss also exist, but I don’t think that’s real nowadays. At least I never seen it.
Maybe. IIRC it might be a way of marking someone so I guess they could be saying “I own you now, human as well as all of your possessions.”
