Personally, for this one, looks like its a steampunk world where they are all earth ponies and the contraption for rainbow dash’s flight, and contraption for twi’s “magic” are what set them apart like how in the show its biological that some have horns and wings, while here its whether you choose to have a horn or wings. Although for aj that means she is the only one here that is an amputee. For me at least.
