I can’t help but feel bad for him when he looks at himself and realizes what’s happening. Yeah, he’s a jerk that enslaved an entire nation, but he just looks so sad.

Possibly…the horn fragment impales some wandering pony; Sombra’s evil travels through thier body like an infection, and Sombra, indirectly, is resurrected.
 
I’m sorry, I had a very Lovecraftian/John Carpenter’s The Thing vibe from watching the first half.

errr…as you said “hidden adult jokes”, the show is still for kids, besides i am sure kids now the concept of killing, when they play pokeman they said “my pokeman was killed!” instead of “fainting”.
