Considering immediately after this he sticks out his tongue and says “Bleh”, I’m pretty sure he’s making fun of how often they talk about friendship. I’m honestly really surprised so many people think this one clip means he will reform when it ends that way.

I think this scene is just him amking fun of the whole friendship thing. Like, “you’re going to defeat me with friendship? Good luck.” At least I hope he’ll be an at least somewhat intimidating villain.

I am guessing that Tempest will be the more developed villain, and the Storm King will act more as someone she can betray at the end.

He could surprise us though. He’s likely barely in the trailer for a reason, don’t want to spoil the whole movie.
