pinkiebutt was mildly over-zealous with perfectly good intentions (and I think you ultimately misunderstood what they were saying the first place) but apologized anyway. You should be just responding to that with a “it’s k, no biggie” and move on.

I am pretty sure you have been assuming I was accusing you of something, like, this whole time. I did not accuse you of anything; I did not say you did anything wrong. You would understand that if you carefully read what I was saying. All I said was that if you really like artwork, it would be nice to support the artist of the original art, no matter who uploaded it, in what resolution. It doesn’t matter that much in the end.

The image of Sunset and Starlight is in the art pack, in full resolution, with no text. Why would it not be?
And edit: I guess the one in the derpibooru post is not actually the image from Tumblr because it’s only cropped instead of reduced resolution. I assumed it was the Tumblr-compressed version.

Yeah, LOW RESOLUTION
The image that you like so much here was only a low-resolution teaser for a paid art pack, which can be bought very cheap, for actual dollars. You know, those things that artists need to buy food. A little reading comprehension goes a long way.

Okay, I overreacted.
I appreciate the sentiment towards me, but you’re going a bit overboard here.
Some people just can’t afford the extra money, and I’m not gonna fault them for that. And using the promotional art for a phone background doesn’t really deprive me of any money; no more than anybody just enjoying teaser image as is.
And really, that’s okay in this case. The pack has sold really well in general; so there will definitely be more Starlight in the future.
