Can’t argue with that description, considering Sunset’s last interaction with Celestia and her complete lack of interaction with Luna. Plus all the usual arguments about how having her in the episode takes time and focus away from Twilight and Celestia, makes her look better at the expense of the other characters, etc. Cute joke, but not really a solution to the problems with the episode.

If anything, I enjoy fanfics where Celestia would grace Sunset with a heartfelt welcome, complete with tears.

The Map is breaking all kinds of hearts at that moment. Who knows how many side chicks it has.

Funny, I was thinking of a scenario for an EQG sequel that’d involve Sunset Shimmer being on the map earlier today…  
Sunset Shimmer and Starlight together, pointed at the castle (because no map of human world) implying they both need to solve a problem through the mirror. Reform the Dazzlings, since they’re not magical or threatening anymore, and help them live normal lives.  
Cause… Dazzlings kinda went over well enough that nobody wants to see them as a one-off encounter in a movie, and I’d say another Starlight appearance in the human world would go over good as well.
 
It seems ideal, but ehhh, what do I know. See what happens.

I guess if Sunset and Celestia won’t confront each other, the map’ll have to force them to.

I know several people that’ll be really happy if this ever happens.
