That DK Rabid looks extremely fluffy. I want to hug it.
I can’t believe this game actually looks fun

What, was the “Xbox One Two” just a little too on the nose for you?

Well kinda, but not absolutely the same.
Screen resolutions
Edited
2K would be 1080p
Also nobody is talking about 2k.
And on a sidenote, 8k is kinda pointless for the private market, since nobody has a room, or a screen big enough to make a real difference. 4k might be usable, but only on +50” TVs. The time for 8k really hasn’t come yet.
For filming, photography, or screenshots it is a good idea thought, since you can zoom in onto the details.
“B-but consoles are just PCs anyway!”
Both 4K (2160p) & 8K (4320p) are Ultra High Definition in the same way both 720p and 1080p were HD. But for some reason there is a lot of focus on 4K instead of working on getting those 8K TVs to consumers.
I did hear that the 2020 Olympics will be filmed in 8K though.
30 fps and then 8k
30 fps.they never learn.
Is Ultra High Definition available in consumer technology?
One of the benefits about being an immortal alicorn is that you can’t die of alcohol poisoning. Not sure how Derpy is still around though.
I don’t know why there’s so much focus on 4K when the Ultra High Definition technology was first tested out back in 2006, it was what we would call 8K these days. So focusing on this is like focusing on 720p instead of 1080p

4K is a resolution where the principle behind it is just that, exceeding at least or around 4k (thousand, the K is for Kilo) Pixels. It’s supposed to be like the new HD, about double the size of it, actually… But like HD was back during the Plasma tv era, it’s quite uncommon in households yet or is very pricey if it is. The measurement may not actually exceed 4000 pixels wide, but try to double HD, which is 1920 wide, to 3840, and the height doubled to 2160, compared to 1080. There’s a brief idea for ya. As well as @Vinyl Fluff’s Concept, which is less technical and more about practicality.
Resolution. It’s the “next big step up” from 1080. Once TVs were released supporting it, it became a buzzwordy feature for lots of companies.
The problem is that it takes a lot more horsepower than 1080, and on consoles this just means worse performance. Stuff that runs in 4K will run at a lower framerate or suffer performance issues, or both. In fact some games for the PS4 give you an option when run on the PS4 Pro of either having a higher framerate in 1080, or one locked at a lower one but run in 4K.

Ultra HD
3840p(I think)
