That would be pretty dark if there was a black sheep sibling. All the praise heaped on RD would almost be mocking the other sibling.
Dash is an only child, otherwise there would have been photos of her siblings, don’t you think?

Maybe this is a pegasus thing.
We actually have seen that before. Vapor Trail in Top Bolt had overly doting parents because she was an only child.
However, no one still has explained who Dash was with in Games Ponies Play flashback. Dash may have siblings, yet.

Only Applejack’s parents are left missing. However, when Apple Bloom finally got her cutie mark, Applejack said “If our parents were still here they’d be proud of ya.” And Big Mac and Granny Smith started crying when she said that implying that Applejack’s parents may be dead.
Ouch, so Applejack’s the only Mane Six who doesn’t have parents? Poor pony.
Although I do wonder if it has anything to do with her being an only child. She is the only one with this issue, it seems, but she’s also the only one without siblings of the mane 6.
