All except Twilight’s mom have features that make them look older than their children.

You know, I think it would have been more cool and believable for Starlight to be Twilight’s cousin. I was hoping that was the case before the airing of season 5 when she was revealed and had a similar looking star cutie mark.  
Or she could have been Twilight, from an alternate dimension.

I don’t think they ever showed Starlight’s mom, and Starlight isn’t a sixth anything (she’d have to be at least seventh).

Though, if they would ever do an episode that shows the moms meeting together to talk about their children. It would be quite awkward that one of the Mane 6’s mom is absent. I think Granny Smith would fill in that role.

all the moms are age somewhere early 40s - late 60s
 
Cadance is in her late 20s - mid 30s (why i took her out)
 
and Granny Smith is about 90 - 100 (so i don’t know how well she can  
keep up)
 
but both do deserve honorable mention spot ..
 
and as to why cup cake in the group ? …well as a Surrogate mom/Mother Figure  
to pinkie pie.

what about starlight’s mum?  
it’s not the true mom6 without the mother of the sixth element starlight
