Some “updates” were terrible and consisted of shoving prequels down the people’s throats. Such as replacing Boba Fett in episode 5 with prequel one, destroying the scene where Palpatine talks to Vader with dialogue that made no sense, and other very questionable decisions that were basically middle finger shown to anyone who didn’t like the prequel trilogy…
Graphics updates, some additional scenes, and the infamous “Han shot first” deal.
Some people didn’t like the added CGI. And tbh it looked out of place….
Weren’t those just graphics updates? why people got mad?
The joke is that George Lucas replaced all his star wars films with special editions and refused to offer the originals.
