Probably not, but it would be great if it was.
There are probably tons of insecta terms appropriate for the twenty or so BG changelings: Pupa, Chitin, Aphid, Mandible, just for starters. :3
(Although, Chitin is already in use by an OC. :T )
Someone proposed “Imaginal” based on Imaginal disc & the fact that they’re imaginary.
They need a name.
I put forth, ‘Uno Hombre Malo’.

I’d say they probably just sound like however they want to, regardless of gender, but then I remember what they sound like untransformed.
x) It’s not narrow-minded, it’s statistical fact. And because I didn’t say it couldn’t be a girl, no, it’s not narrow-minded. You asked a question and I answered it using logic. It’s not like I’m going to use some groundless explanation like ‘it has freckles so I think it’s a ___’.

No idea. I thought perhaps the neck-crystals denoted males, but then they opened their mouth. It’s nearly impossible to tell the gender of any changedling other than Thorax by going from their voices.
Guys tend to be dicks more than girls when it comes to physical taunting and bullying, whereas girls tend to be verbal. He started verbal but went full-on flyswatter, so I’m going with male personally. x) But yeah, it’s not easy to tell right now.
Is he a him? I’m not sure since they only spoke when disguised as Starlight Glimmer & earlier in the episode where it seemed to have a male & a female changedling speak their facial structures looked the same, as far as I could tell.
Just because he came from Twi’s imagination doesn’t mean there aren’t real ones like him. With how the changelings used to be I wouldn’t be surprised if there are several drones who still cause trouble. I’m sure Thorax has his work cut out for him.
