I haven’t seen it, so honestly I can’t have an opinion on it.
@Dracorex
“Fantasia 2000” is sadly underrated. I wish Disney would do a third.
Walt himself was against doing sequels to his animated movies, but Fantasia was actually the exception, as he wanted to keep rereleasing it with new animated song bits added to it. Sadly, Fantasia failed in the box office (perhaps was too artsy & ambitious for back then.) so that never happened. Still, it’s become more popular sense, and considered one of the best animated Disney features nowadays.
I was actually surprised to hear many Disney movies I liked (such as “Robin Hood”) were actually failures in the box office. (Granted, they became more successful in airing on TV & with video/DVD releases.)

I still think Simba’s Pride is not only good but even better than the original Lion King, but I recognize I’m very much in the minority on that one. I enjoyed all the ones you mentioned, too.

Guaranteed way to summon me to a comments section.
They were the only really tollerable ones out of the video ones, I felt.
Some of the theaterical ones weren’t bad either like “Rescuers Down Under,” and “Fantasia 2000.”

Quoting “Pinkie Tales,” I see? (The shots at the sequels in it, honestly kinda made me cringe. Even though, admittedly I’m not to keen on most Disney video sequels either. Some fans go overboard with the “Pinkie breaking the fourth wall” jokes to the point they start having her become a mouthpiece.)
To be fair, “The Return of Jafar” was NOT originally meant to be a sequel. It was actually originally the first 3-parter episode of the TV series. But then Disney decided to repackage ’em as a “sequel.” In fact, I remember as a kid, when the show was first shown on the Disney Channel, the intro even had footage from “the Return of Jafar.” (Said footage was removed from later intros.)
Not to mention, it introduced the recurring comical villain “Abis Maul” (Voiced by Jason Alexander) who was from the TV show.
To be honest, the Aladdin TV show was actually pretty good. Surprisingly, even most of the original voice cast returned.
it gave was to the tv series
He’s a treasure! You rarely ever find such a unique and distinctive voice outside of classic icons like Dom DeLuise or Thurl Ravenscroft!
Yeah but the first one didn’t seem to have any reason for existing beyond keeping Gilbert Gotfreid around.
…Itty Bitty living space!”
They really were.
hey Aladdin 2 and 3 where good sequels!
“Aw darn it, this is what I get for tying my anger with my favorite Disney scenes…”
NO! KILL HER! KILL HER!!!!!!!!
I had a feeling it was but I saw an opportunity for a joke and I went for it
