“Starswirl writing about the two sisters”
“A completely unknown origin for both Celestia and Luna’s existence and ascension”
“A story of a magical vortex related to the two sisters that may tie into the show and reveal hidden secrets about Equestria”
….Interesting.
I mean, I’m still expecting the show to blueball us about any origins regarding Celestia and Luna, but one can always hope for a change.
Huh. Could be.
Is this the season 7 tie-in they keep talking about?
Nah, he never disappeared in Journal of the Two Sisters; it’s too “safe” and kiddy for something like that. I doublechecked it just now to be sure and he’s there til the very last entry.
If that ain’t a porno then I will be disappointed.
@Daring-Do
IIRC the Journal of Two Sisters said that Starswirl was up to some time travel shenanigans before disappearing. So yeah the only official word we have on him is that he did in fact disappear.
Right up until the show inevitably gives fuck all about its EU again and just say he was probably just like crashing on Celestia’s couch for the last millennium or something.
Edited
Fair enough.
Yeah, I’m fine if he thought “hey, this is a pretty good fan idea, I should use it”; not so much if he thought “Oh Starswirl disappearing is canon, I have to use it”
Writers should use whatever they think is good material, fanon or not. To do otherwise is to limit yourself.
Idk, what it said in Reflections could also be interpreted as him just having died.
The reflections arc hinted at that.
