I actually would. It’d be a very mild inconvenience at worst.
Which is why I mentioned it.
Just for my own curiosity, if you encountered Mave and she claimed that she just needed a home, implying she wanted to reside in your stomach, would you let her? I wouldn’t be sure how to feel.
The salty food is more a problem for them, not you.
And since Alp Luachras reside in the stomachs and only eat parts of the food you eat, I doubt your other bodyparts are in any danger. And if you’re worried about diseases, the species file I linked earlier says that Starswirl the Bearded made use of these creatures whenever he travelled to other lands. If they carried diseases, Starswirl would’ve known and ot would’ve been documented.
You’re worrying about nothing. It’s just a friendly visitor looking for a safe place to hang around for a bit.
But the same would also occur if I eat salty food.
But what about infectious diseases and the possibility of having my brain eaten into?
What risk? Getting hungry a bit more often? If anything, having an Alp Luachra in your stomach is a benefit. The moment you eat anything that’s bad for you, they’ll immediately get out, allowing you to seek medical help before any symptoms of food poisoning occur.
An Alp Luachra crawling inside is something you barely even notice if you’re asleep. Really, you wouldn’t even notice unless you’re awake, and even if you were awake, you won’t feel any discomfort besides seemingly feeling hungry more than usual.
But why take the risk of allowing her into your throat at all?
For the pulling her out part, she’s clearly very slippery in order to slide down your throat in the first place, so trying to grab her can have the following results:
Either way, she’ll be in a panic and you’ll be either hurt or in seriouss trouble.
As for the salty food. You know how some animals like slugs and leeches can’t even handle coming into contact with salt? Alp Luachras are like that. Salt is actually harmful to them, which is why they hate it.
Besides, Alp Luachras are not malicious or “evil”. They’re actually quite harmless. They’ll just sit in your stomach and eat along with whatever food you happen to be eating until they choose to leave.
Well, fortunately for me, I love myself some diet soda, French fries, and an entire list of other commodities that are filled with salt. But how is trying to pull her out the worse option? What if this particular one has adapted well and actually likes salty foods?
Depends how far down she’s gone. She can clearly slide down on her own easily enough that you won’t even wake up if you’re asleep. She’s probably slippery enough that she’s hard to grab her. In fact, it may actually be more uncomfortable for both of you if you tried to pull her back out.
The only safe way to get her out is to eat something salty. Alp-Luachras hate salt and she’ll willingly get out.
Can’t one just grab her or spit her out?
How do you know this?
If you don’t swallow her, she just crawls down your throat on her own. Might as well swallow her just to save yourself the discomfort.
@Wesley Foxx
But I guess the crucisl thing is to not swallow her. That’s easy enough, right?
>stress ball pony
oh pleasepleasepleasepleasepleaseplease
Just draw her after she had a hair cut.
Here’s a good size comparisen :D
@PegaSUS
You gotta be gentle with her :D
Wrap your fingers around her and stroke her head, maybe take a toothbrush to her mane…
Stop giving Badum ideas, he/she has enough cute Pony items to play with.
I wonder how that would work…
… pony-form when normal, all splayed out when squeezed? Or Ball-Form when normal, Pony-Form when squeezed? Hmm…
