On another note, the fact that we are discussing this on a site for pastel, talking, magical horse people which has a deep mythos created by humans tells us that it was no problem for savage primitive humans to create their gods as well. That is what kills me is that people fail to realize the power of fiction in the olden days. For them, it was deeply rooted with who they were as a culture, and in a way, was a science to them, as it explained how the world was created/works/ends. These stories, however, are no longer sufficient for explaining our universe, as we have found better explanations for natural activity on earth and the cosmos. I’ll give it, a lot is still unknown, but to say “I don’t know, therefore [insert deity].” Is intellectually dishonest in our modern age.
No matter what, I cannot change a person’s mind on certain things, so I will leave it at that, as there is beauty in people coming up with ideas and explanations that may very well contribute to our collective knowledge as a species. Hell, it’s that very creativity that brought us MLP, and I love those little horse things. So believe what you will, just don’t tear each other down in the quest for truth. If there’s one thing MLP has taught me, it’s that we need harmony more than ever, and should strive to emulate that concept in reality.
Okay I’m done now. Pone safely.

I don’t ignore it, I provided the dinosaur bones as evidence, and the fact that religion in general is a widespread thing. I do not claim that my Boss did not do that, I claim that He did, as proven by the examples I have listed.
@Blissey1
Honestly, I’m already bored of this, but it would be rude of me to ignore it.
Lol. Now that’s funny.
And again, who do you know god didn’t take millions if not billions of years to create the universe hmm?
It’s funny how you avoid that simple question. You can’t explain or actually disprove that so you just try to ignore it, like it doesn’t exist. And with that kind of childish nonsense, I’m done here.
I deny neither Creation nor Evolution. In fact, I maintain that Evolution EXPLAINS Creation.
Please read my comments above.

How do you know God didn’t make the dinosaurs to better make the earth more habitable for humans?
I’m pretty sure we wouldn’t be able to survive, at least not properly, in the probably vastly different climate and conditions back when dinosaurs walked the earth.
Edited
Then explain the dinosaur bones dated over 65 million years old.
Evolution is a bunch of crap.
I mean seriously think about it people. It’s still called the THEORY of Evolution, not the Proven Fact of Evolution.
Another thing that pretty much completely disproves evolution is the fact that it’s super easy to say “It took millions upon millions of years for everything to evolve”, but it’s actually impossible to prove that, since no one has been alive that long and was therefore around to actually see it happen that way.
@Kane
Yeah. God made the the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Bad as a simple instruction. He said that Adam and Eve were to not eat from that ONE tree. You think with the probably innumerable other trees that produced fruit to eat, they wouldn’t have even considered eating from it. Not to mention, wouldn’t you think that Eve wouldn’t have been just a little ever so freaked out by a snake starting to talk to her?
And to others. The seven days of creation were probably symbolic. It could’ve been seven literal days, or some unfathomable amount of millennia, we don’t know, but God did create the universe, which shows that he has an unbelievable level of power and control.
Edited
But humanity was already perfect before the Fall. Within that Seven Days everything was already fine tuned, it didn’t need to be a slow process because everything was already perfect within that much shorter amount of time.
It was his gift of Free Will that was the show of his goodness, not just creating Adam and Eve.
The reason God made the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil is because he gave them a choice on how they were going to build upon the world. God had already defined what is good and evil. But that was the purpose of Free Will, it was either trust God’s definintion of good and evil, or will they seek atonomy and create their own definition of what is good and evil.
Yet how do we know the Seven Days wasn’t added by some guy to prop my Boss up further?
I mean seriously, yes, He could’ve done it all in seven days, but if He didn’t… if He consciously made the choice to take the slow path… Doesn’t that speak more of how Good He is?
That He would actually go to the effort of fine-tuning everything over the course of millions of years?
Hell, we even have the thing with the Tree Of Knowledge. He could simply have not put it there if He didn’t want Adam or Eve or anyone else eating its fruit, and yet He did.
Edited
Then the Seven days of Creation would have been pointless to tell if the creation process took millions of years. Why waste millions of years to make something perfect if you can make it perfect in Seven days or even less if you wanted to?
Seven Days of Creation was also suppose to be a display of what only a glimps of God’s power is capable of. I’ve even seen people say that God is weaker than what His Word says (Dispite the many times he’s demonstrated his dominance over other false gods) he is because it took him Seven days to Create everything, let alone if it did take millions of years
Edited
Maybe I am one of those? It’s not like my Boss couldn’t have felt like doing it slow and steady.
You’d be surprised what humans have been willing to do to make something look great, even back then, even now.
But there wasn’t an evolutionary process that needed to be explained in detail. He just spoke and bam, all animals and humans were there. It was almost intantaneous to maybe a day long process, not a slow million year process.
Unless you mean those that mix Creationism and evolution, where God created the universe and it’s millions of years old instead of thousands.
Edited
Basically, creationism states that God made the world, while evolutionism details how He did it.
What do you mean?
Folks like me prefer to think of Evolutionism as the HOW to Creationism’s WHAT.
Edited
You really don’t get the point, do you?
Why didn’t you include evolutionism when you memtioned mythologies?
I have seen a number of youtube comments like that and I would agree, presenting oneself like that is mean-spirited, no matter the belief or disbelief but it comes around from the otherside too.
Edited
Well the thing is when talking about the concept of creationism is both the lack of evidence for it and the fact that it, usually, centers on one mythology when there are several other mythos with different takes on it. Most mythologies, such as the Norse, Greek/Roman, Egyptian, etc. get left out of the equation even though they have just as much to them as any other religious concepts.
We have evidence for the age of the earth, the process of evolution, and other such means and the scientific approach is not ‘anti’ anything and just trying to understand the world and how it works.
As well, you’re saying ‘hurr durr atheists’ when insulting people is a two way street.
