they’ve been fighting for like, 10 years at most, ever since she went full queen bitch after the war with the crimson changelings. and spike has been hiding from her for a reason. he knew this was going to happen. he’s only fighting her now as a desperate stalling tactic, so that the others have enough time to save the day.
 
this page was still an injustice though, because we didn’t get to see twilight kicking spike’s ass!

But the page before that was a flashback so it went from now to flashback with good twilight to now with spike confronting bad twilight then back to flashback to now with spike on the ground it’s confusing

You know, this always seems to happen with shapeshifters in mlp. They get the form more or less right, but they completely fuck up how the pony normally acts. Apparently none of them observe their target first.
