That’s right. That’s because Duke was originally gonna be killed by Serpentor in the G.I. Joe movie as an inspiration to the death of Optimus Prime from the Transformers movie. And due to the discontinuation of Optimus Prime’s toy in 1986, Hasbro decided to kill off the main character in the feature film based on the Transformers cartoon after the suggestion was made to kill off Duke in the G.I. Joe movie. However, despite both movies being in production at the same time and some production and release date delays to both films, the Transformers movie was released first. And the death of Optimus Prime sparked as a fan backlash from many fans who first watch the Transformers movie. And they discovered that killing off Duke in the G.I. Joe movie was the worst I dead they have made. And the death of Duke is ultimately cut from the finished film and was finalized to become a coma. Yep. Hasbro did killed off Optimus Prime in the Transformers movie in 1986, Hasbro nearly killed off Duke in the G.I. Joe movie in 1987, and Hasbro nearly killed off Twilight Sparkle in the My Little Pony movie in 2017.

Yeah. He was originally gonna die while fighting Serpentor in the anti-climax of the G.I. Joe and Falcon avenge Duke by killing Serpentor in the final battle against the forces of Cobra and Cobra-La. However, all of this was cut. And they cut Duke’s death due to the fan backlash of Optimus Prime’s death in the Transformers movie and replace it with Duke felling into a coma. Yep. Hasbro killed off Optimus Prime in 1986, and early killed off Duke and Twilight Sparkle in 1987 and 2017.

I fear it does. Because in the My Little Pony movie, when the the Storm Army invade Canterlot before invading the rest of Equestria led by the Storm King, Celestia told Luna to go beyond Equestria seek help from Queen Novo. But unfortunately, both Celestia and Luna as well as Cadance and Twilight were overthrown by the Storm King after they along with Cadance turned into obsidian statues by the Storm King’s lieutenant Tempest Shadow.
