I Would do The Same
I know, but given Octavia’s somewhat monochrome design, plus the color of the uniform, I used the red piping to give some accents to her uniform. I know IRL this wouldn’t have been the case, but these are technicolored ponies, and they look bad with dull colors.

As for her accent, there are plenty of Germans who studied English in the UK or from a Brit and would have a British accent as a result.
I don’t see the point in her being german and supporting that empire tbh.

She defected from the British army to join the Germans because she supported the Austro-Hungarian monarchy?
Basically I had the idea for WW1 Octavia before I had the chance to hear her voice, and find out she’s supposed to be british. I only heard her voice in episode 100, since I didn’t watch any EqG movies.
