Description
The Hemkas and Hanazuki are going to the big screen well in a short during the #MLPMovie #Hanazuki
#MLPFIM #MLP
#MLPFIM #MLP
and a sometimes just disney
It may be an overreaction to all the news articles comparing it excessively to mlp but I feel the shows are totally diferent.
for one HanaZuki promotes much more rounded emotions then mlp.
Just put on headphones and play games on your 3DS or phone while the short film plays.
Also, no one is going to make the short film play automatically as soon as you put in the DVD; no one would buy it. It’s going to be properly filed away in the Bonus Features menu like most short films attached to a movie.
Wait what cinema do you go to every cinema i have ever known has had ads before the show anyway.
Hanazuki has a lot of dubs. You can see them on Hasbro’s YouTube account. From Russian to Brazilian Portuguese…
dude chillax, it’s only like a 4 minute short. disney does this all the time, it ain’t that big of a deal, it’s just hasbro’s way of bringing more attention to hanazuki because mlp is a more popular brand and is quite similar to it.
Nope, Hanazuki has a German dub.
Sucks to be you I guess.
And then standing outside the whole time after just having taken seat and gotten settled for the movie, followed by having to hurry inside again, because the movie is probably starting seconds after the advertisement ended, while hoping that your seat wasn’t taken by someone, only to miss the first few seconds of the movie and to be stressed out once you are finally sitting again and want to watch the movie.
How can you possibly get more cynical than with that “advice” you gave me there?
The only hope I really have is that Hanazuki won’t get a german dub, because in that case, Hasbro probably won’t bother to show it in cinemas here in Austria, even though I have of course planned to go to a cinema that shows the original dub.

Alright seriously I’m not gonna argue about Hasbro’s advertising ethics with you, but if it is on the DVD it would most likely be separate from the movie itself.
It will not affect the movie at all. It is a completely separate entity.
Of course no one’s forcing you to watch it. Once the short starts, you can just leave the theater for like 10 minutes. :)
Concerns about it taking up movie time and that Hasbro might slap it on the official DVD too, so that you have to see this unwanted advertisement every single time on the DVD you paid money for and own.
But mostly that Hasbro forces you to watch a mini episode for a completely unrelated show in order to promote it and how it shoves an ad for something you’re not even interested in down your throat where you can’t avoid it.
I have a right to choose if I want to see ads or not, yet this is forcing me to watch it, which is a completely underhoofed and despicable method to advertise something.
I don’t want to see another show, so I shouldn’t have to before the movie I’m actually interested in starts. There’s a place for advertisement and that’s where you can avoid it if you don’t wanna see it.

Disney used to do this for decades; short animated films before the feature presentation in theaters is a very old tradition. Like, there used to be a newsreel, an animated short, maybe one other thing, and then the (usually live action) feature. (Not just Disney.)
Hanazuki. IPA: /hɑːnɑːzuːkiː/ or ha(h)-na-zu(zoo)-ki(key). You can hear it in the full intro too, if you’d like. But it’s all for stylization.
@rdibp
I’ve seen the show, it’s not bad. It’s a cute, innocent web series and I can agree that it won’t, or that it shouldn’t, take away from your experience of the movie, CMC.
When the Powerpuff Girls movie came out, there was a Dexter’s Lab short that played before it because they were similar shows that aired on the same network just like you see here (Okay, maybe not the same network but from the same company) What makes this any different :/
I haven’t seen Hanazuki yet, but I don’t why you are so up in arms against a short playing at the beginning of the theatrical release of the movie. Unless if the series is just THAT terrible.
I can assure you that it WILL NOT affect the movie’s runtime. I have no idea where you even reached that conclusion.
“Its typical for animated movies to begin with shorts.”
“Typical” does not equal “right”. Just because something is a common practice does not make it ok.
Its typical for animated movies to begin with shorts.
The short won’t have any effect on the movie. It’s it own thing.

This better not be shown in cinemas before the movie starts and DEFINITELY better not be taking away movie runtime!
A new Hasbro series on Youtube.
