“The curtain stood before her, the shimmering fabric reflecting the stage lights and making a dazzling show themselves. She took a deep breath and adjusted her shoes, tapping them on the hard, smooth stage. The silver heels clacked with a resounding ring with each tap, and she put on her game face. It was showtime.
It turns out saving the Royal Family, The Element Bearers, and defeating a psychotic evil bug monster will do wonders for your fame. Ever since word had gotten out about her (And Discord and Thorax and Starlight’s, but mostly her) adventure, The Great, Powerful, Magnificent, And Pretty Trixie the Alicorn Savior had sold out her shows nearly every night. She hadn’t seen this kind of crowd even before the… “Sparkle Incident”.
But, that was all in the past. The curtain lifted, and she had to resist the temptation to shield her eyes from the blinding spotlights and the flashing cameras of the audience. The wall of lights lit up behind her, and the massive speakers began blaring out their music. She could feel the rumble of the bass as it shuddered through the floor, and she strode up to the front, holding her arms out and taking long, deliberate steps, the heels clicking resoundingly against the polished floor.
She took a deep breath, bellowing before her people, her magically amplified voice thundering over the speakers.
“LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! LET’S! MAKE! SOME! MAAAAAGIIIIIC!”
On cue, a flurry of fireworks exploded behind her as she spun around, her coat flying behind her and the silver soles clicking wildly. She moonwalked towards the screen, as a stagehand tossed her a cane, which she caught and spun around her, passing it from hand to hand. The crowd cheered at this display, but she knew it was nothing. This was just to get them warmed up, and they were burning right now. They wanted a show, and she was going to give them one.”
