This situation kinda reminds me of bootleg merchandise in a way; in that world, youβve got to be careful of the productβs authenticity as well!

Anyone on deviantart who has βbasesβ in their name should probably not be trusted. Iβve had plenty of my artwork βborrowedβ from them, and had to scare them into deleting it.
Iβm not upset about it. Iβm just saying, the people on DeviantArt who make bases are generally horrible people whoβll trace other peopleβs art without regard or permission, and then demand credit for it. For example, the one you used:

They demand you credit them, but act like crediting the original artist, who spent more time on the image than they did, isnβt quite as important.
Where would you suggest I go for bases that are more βfair useβ? Β
Because I would hate to be played the fool again with this tracing thing; I did hear it happens on dA a lot

You should never use βbasesβ from Deviantart. They are almost always stolen art traced without permission.
