Yeah, some point in the last 3 years I learned that
She has in the world this image takes place in.
Still pretty week, since she has done nothing to earn it.
In a show yes, but we’re talking about this singular piece of art.
Off-screen redemption is very weak and meaningless.
This picture assumes she did earn it.
Sorry but that’s bullshit. Everybody can change, it’s just not everyone will. But we’re not even talking about real life, we’re talking about fiction. Fictional characters are whatever we Humans want them to be.
I don´t think it would be too much to ask if she treats at least her daughter better.
Even a snob can love her family and Diamond Tiara deserves happiness.

Again, let her earn it first.
I don’t agree with “everypony can change for the better”, not everybody is a poor misunderstood charachter with a tragic past who just needs to be taught about the magic of friendship. Some characters just aren’t redeemable.
Besides considering Spoiled Rich was just as bitchy in her younger days, its very unlikely she has a sudden change of heart. It makes sense that somepony like Diamond is taking a turn for the better, since she is just a kid.
Everypony can change for the better, even her.
And for Diamond Tiaras sake she should.
It’s just not realistic for Spoiled to be this humble towards her daughter, Spoiled Rich is a manipulative snob. Im sures she really cares about her daughter, but she is too stubborn to realize what she is doing wrong.
Spoiled is showing genuine remorse and trying to be better here.
Why would you assume nothing happens before or after this image?
Actually, at this point, I kind of would be okay with Diamond forgiving Spoiled if it meant we got to see more of Diamond Tiara. But even then it’d be kind of a hard sell, and I feel like it might send the wrong message to kids.
Maybe because it hasn’t been earned. It’s like forgiving Cozy after she tried to crippled her own world for her own gain and gloated about it before trying to fly away to try it again somewhere else.

I wouldn’t put that past her, it might be how she kept Diamond from telling anyone sooner.
