Yeah, as a Sonic fan myself, I’ve encountered my fair share of strange Sonic fans, but I’ve met many awesome ones too.
And as I’ve pointed out, it’s ironic for bronies to demonize Sonic fans, because the brony fanbase gets the same exact stereotypes, and demonization themselves from other fanbases, as well.
Their brains went 2fast.
The funny thing about that meme image is, some people don’t know that is technically a Sonic character.
Quit copying/quacking your opinions from IGN & Game Informer. We’ve heard that same remark hundreds of times before.
Besides, if that were true, we wouldn’t be talking about him at all now, nor would he still be getting games, getting rereleases of his old games, or have a new TV show, and a 24 year long running comic series. That’s a hell of alot more then “more beloved” characters have.
Eh, I prefer other Sanik characters over Blaze, but she’s still cool.
Funny thing is, I remember almost every time I’d play “Sonic Rush Adventure” online, the other player would almost always chose Sonic, leaving me playing Blaze almost every time. Which is fine, as I found a very cheap shortcut in the first level you can only reach with Blaze. (Sense she can hover.)
(But, seriously, Sonic Rush and the series premiere of MLP have basically the same storyline, verbatim… You might as well call Sonic Rush “Sonic: Friendship is Magic”!)
Some fans just get downright weird, I guess.
Bronies are no different than any other fandom, so this is nothing new. We’re only human, after all. The real problem is when people start to identify themselves as bronies before human – that causes all kinds of fallacious thinking.
Actually, the Sonic drama is mostly regulated to Derpibooru. I hear actually many bronies are actually Sonic fans on other sites, and the Sonic discussion thread in the Derpiboouru forums are practically drama/hate-free. There actually are plenty of casual Sonic fans here, they just aren’t as obsessive with Sonic as the haters are. (Ironic, isn’t it?)
Still, the Sonic haters need to chill a bit. “Sonic Mania” & “Sonic Forces” actually look pretty good.

Side note I despise equestria daily for the sheer hypocrisy and close mindedness it has which is why I prefer derpibooru because unlike with equestria daily people on this are free to express themselves as long as it’s not something illegal.
Probably the reason why I think hate is stronger than love here. Which I wish it was the other way around.
