I was really trying to make it as cute as can be…. but instead I think there are too many things I have to improve. I don’t wanna talk about them ;-; I don’t feel that this picture deserves the “cute” tag anymore.
It’s pretty cold outside here in Hong Kong, but it will just be a few days. I need to make more of these and find a way to improve…..

Awwww thanks so much! You’re really right…
I told my friends and family that my drawings still suck, and they said the key to improvement is practice (a lot…) I will eventually succeed one day, I believe. I just have to try harder and be more confident :)
On the plus side, the hair is drawn nicely and look accurante to how it look in the show ; the eye in itself is good but with this view, it should stop at the line of the head, not go beyond it. Speaking of line, I think they look cleaner so it’s another good point.
It’s a good thing to admit you still have to improve but you must avoid hating your art, it’s one of the worst thing that could happen, if you start thinking your art is crap then you’ll be disgusted with every new drawing and all you’ll accomplish is giving up on drawing. I know that not being able to draw how you want is frustrating, I’ve been here too, unfortunately, improvements are subtle and takes time, most often you will not notice it yourself, try to look at your older drawing and see the progress you’ve made ; when I look at your older stuff, it’s clear to me that you improved.
If you want to practice you can look for tutorial online, don’t try to start with complex things right away, learn the basics and once you mastered them, move to the next step. Also don’t hesitate to use references, all artists do it and it’s really helpful with complicated poses.
wow I wrote a lot so TL;DR : this one is nice, keep practicing, stay positive and don’t give up
Thanks!
I know… and I’ve learned that we should never draw when in a hurry XD
