If you go through my stuff, you’ll see I have a tendency of making characters
with such light hair dark skinned. I just really like how it looks. But I’ve done
it enough times that I now half-seriously say they’re a specific ethnic group in
my headcanon humanized Equestria…
I personally see that dark skin tones go well with her hair, like a contrast

This discussion has happened many times already, and always turns around the same points. I don’t know if we need to restart it again.
I guess I should have said color, not race, you probably could have imagined I was speaking in broad terms.
Like I said, everyone’s allowed to have their own feelings. Am I not?

Sunny and Sugarcoat are both black, Indigo and Lemon are both white.
It’s not that I don’t want friends of all colors. I don’t want opposite either. I don’t care what color my friends are.
Anyway, whenever I see a group of friends like this in fiction, where no two people are the same race, it always feels transparent and gimmicky to me.
Just my feelings on the subject. You’re free to have your own.
