no… No you don’t. Spike was a little butt… He may still be a child but that was still a very butt thing to do there. I mean the guy became sophisticated, charming and a gentleman just for Rarity and Spike just comes up and pretty much says “sorry she’s taken.” and then just gallivants over to Rarity and gives the roses Hayseed got for her. I was disappointed in Spike. Kid should know that crushes aren’t something you cheat and lie over.

Am I alone in feeling a little sorry for poor Hayseed in this story? He makes a Herculean effort to improve himself simply to become more appealing to Rarity, and then Spike cuts him off at the knees.
