It’s still a pile of shit either way and you should not be wanting naylor to ever be doing anything with anything you like. As for palcomix, everyone should blacklist it. If it were up to me, I’d forbid it to be posted here because of not only how terrible the art is and how terrible it’s written, but it’s the same fucking comic every single time.

Wish Jay did more pony stuff. Would’ve loved an MLP smut comic by him. Be a helluva lot better than the palcomix ones going on now. Not that those are bad, but, show style porn just isn’t as great as someone’s own style. IMO. IMO.

Naylor’s been around for a long time. He’s infamous due to his art and his behaviors. We’re not obsessed. He’s made lots of enemies, and done lots of cringy stuff.

That’s because he is. It’s one of his many fetishes you see in his art.
 
One of the criticisms he got early on was how often he concentrated on male parts and how detailed they were compared to everything else. Combined with how fixated he was on anal sex lots of people started assuming he was gay or bisexual.
 
I don’t remember the entire history right now, but he denied it, and it became a huge debate. Eventually some time later he admitted he was bi but he “had gotten over that”, as if it were a passing phase or something. Meanwhile he still did detailed dicks and plenty of anal, both male and female in his art.

The problem is when that’s all he does, is convinced he’s some sort of art god by his fans, and becomes an egotistical jerk and does/says things that seem to demonstrate he’s a terrible human being. I’m not going to make that judgement call. I think he’s a terrible person, but I’m not going to say he’s a terrible human being necessarily. You can be one without being the other. But plenty of people have considered him so based on the crap he’s done. And that’s not even counting his art that concentrates on characters being terrible themselves.

I’m not the only one to have said this, but I think Naylor uses his comics to work around his own issues. Fisk is straight-up self-insert, and I’ve thought for a long time that the comic is massive amounts of wish-fulfillment. The comic is already known as a mouthpiece/soapbox for him, and there’s not anything necessarily wrong with that (turning away tons of people you offend and then criticizing then for disliking your comic maybe excepted) but I’ve wondered how many of the issues the characters have gone through that he’s suffered himself. How many women have cheated on him? Did one or both of his parents have an affair?
 
Maybe he’s just got really strong kinks he wants to indulge in over and over without expanding, and the fans that eat it up and want nothing more and continually praise him creates an echo chamber-like effect. Or maybe as some people have speculated, he’s a frustrated man living out his fantasies in the only way he can.
 
I don’t have a high opinion of him after seeing/reading some of the things he’s said and done over the years. And how he repeatedly pulls the kind of things you cited. Like I said, I like his art, but as a person, he’s seems pretty terrible and not someone you’d want to deal with unless you were an undying fan.

Even putting aside my hatred for such situations and the deliberate character assassinations, yes, he only does one thing now to the exclusion of all else, but even tries to JUSTIFY it.
 
here is the backstory of these two characters he just assassinated:
 
Female character is hot stuff but was a porn star stuck in a loop of drug addictions. Do porn, get money, do drugs, do more porn for more money, etc. Enter husband, who is mouse dude. Mouse dude breaks her out of the drug cycle, supports her through rehab, she marries him. They have a kid. They one time have a threesome (kid excluded), her husband being the top man who pones the 3rd party, while said 3rd party is an effeminate guy who does oral on the wife. After that, wife tells 3rd party to get going before their kid gets home. Note that the husband is incredibly loyal, didn’t initially want 3rd party to enter, and even after all of it, wife is the one who kicks 3rd party out, valuing family.
 
So how does he kill this?
 
Random cut to loving hubby sitting outside of bathroom stalls and fitting rooms while his wife bones a random alpha male (who looks like fisk) and constantly slurs her husband about how fucking pathetic he is. Hubby just sits and takes it. you know, the lady who wanted to get out of porn because she didn’t want that is now jumping on random dicks to try and get knocked up and the hubby who saved her from it is perfectly okay with it. How does it end? Well she gives her hubby a single kiss after she is done being fucked to fatness and we get a panel of the “oh so lonely alpha who spends all his free time getting to fuck every married hotass out there, but he’s so lonely! FEEL SORRY FOR HIM!
 
Naylor can get prostate cancer and die for pulling that shit.

Even as a story writer try different things, but he’s going nowhere fast.  
Then again, he keeps drawing crowds and attention, either good or bad, so he keeps a source of income.  
He tries to appease some people with commission work whilst still doing his own stuff.  
So he’s doing something right.

I like Naylor’s art (except his profile views of snouts, I think they’re terrible) but the guy seems like a real mess. And pretty much 99% of his stuff comes across as a self-insert. Fisk especially. Hell, he even went by the name himself for years (probably still does.)
 
Everyone’s entitled to their own fetishes, but he’s especially frighteningly attached to cuckolding, and it becomes a one-note thing with him. I’m pretty sure I know the comic you’re talking about too, and yes it was pretty messed up.
 
Naylor’s pretty much in the “good art, terrible (person) artist” category for me.

Yeah it seems rather shallow to be honest.
 
The only thing I can see good is his artwork, in the style.  
Beyond that I can’t say there’s anything particularly good about his story writing abilities.
 
In any event, the guy seems to make a lot of social commentary which seems sort of vindictive towards people.  
If I recall correctly he even made a comic about the military, I can’t recall which one it was though, he got into a really heated issue because he called them out saying something about ‘doing their job’. I really thought about going over his entire archive of comics to source these, but the number of comics in there makes it kind of tedious.

Because of his ego and his frothing fanbase, he sees himself as being “greater” than he is and therefore feels he should be telling everyone about “how he is so successful”.
 
I’ve found that when artists start doing the cuckolding fetish with no prior prompting, it’s a sign they have fractured and are beyond saving as the character getting in on the action is a representation of the artist every single time.
 
“I’m so hot and macho, I get to fuck other guys girlfriends! But I’m so ronery! Feel pity for me!”

Yeah funny thing I heard a few comments made by Lil-miss-jay about Naylor’s antics, I was surprised at how he treated his girlfriends or one of them.
 
In any case I slammed Naylor about completely ruining the characters like Zecora making a rant at how he tries to sell a pseudo intellectual argument about religion and social structure. I can’t recall what I said exactly since my comment’s been deleted, but it sparked a lot of attention. Got a few death threats to top it all off.
 
I also really think that he’s portrayal of Celestia seemed really silly in one comic, and how he tried using Big Mac as a sort of mouth piece, that comic was rather lacking to be perfectly honest.
 
But yeah, what’s with Naylor’s social commentary in his comics?
