And interesting as Zamasu being promoted from Kai to apprentice Supreme Kai, was compared to Chronoa being promoted from normal Kai to Supreme Kai of Time.
Indeed, it may be that Zamasu being promoted from Kai to (apprentice) Supreme Kai, may be a refernce to Chronoa(as she also got promoted from Kai to Supreme Kai of Time), as the Black Goku arc, had several refernces to the Online, Xenoverse, and Heroes games, most notably with Zamasu. Zamasu(including as Black), refernces allready several “otherworldly” characters from Online, Xenoverse, and Heroes, like Mira, Towa, Time Breakers, and Chronoa, as like Chronoa, he and Gowasu are first Kai to be known by a personal name, the Time Ring, resembles the Time Breaks symbol (in continuity though, I guess Towa based her Time Breakers symbol, on the symbol on the Supreme Kai Ring of Time) and Demigra . How Zamasu took over Goku, is also similar on how Mira and Towa controlled Bardock, especially that Bardock was mistaken for Goku, when under their control. Merged Zamasu’s white haired Super Saiyan-like form, may refernce Super Mira(especially that both Mira, and Merged Zamasu are part otherwordly beings, part Saiyan), and the Super Saiyan-like 4 Mira from Xenoverse 2 is also similar, even more so, seeing it’s essentially a forced fusion(although I guess Xenoverse 2 creators, based SS4 Mira on Merged Zamasu, seeing the team known probably the storyline to Super before hand. Especially that both fights against SS4 Mira and Merged Zamasu, take place in a devasted future. And that both Zamasu and Mira have a shift of mentality and turned on their mentors/superiors, after being defeated a Saiayan(Goku for Zamasu, Bardock for Mira), who they though they are much stronger. And that both Mira and Zamasu, got the wrong conclusions from their loss against a saiyan…), and also Merged Zamasu and Demigra Strongest Demon God Form even look alike, both having Super Saiyan hair(with less explanation though for Demigra, as he doesn’t have Saiyan DNA), and Demigra gaining a greenish skin tone. Not to mention, Zamasu also messing with Time Travel. And Zamasu becoming somewhat what Demigra intended to become in episode 67, and like Mira in Xenoverse 2, Zamasu became one with ||one Timeline, and entire multiverse from that timeline || in fact…Again, this why I think the creators of Xenoverse were informed of how Super would go, or informed Toriyama and others how Xenoverse would go.

Although if Chronoa would go Zamasu’s way, it would be ironic, as she would become quite like Demigra and Time Breakers.

Especially that the Demon Realm Race(ie Demigra, Towa, and partially Mira), is implied to be descended from evil Shin-jin, or being evil Shin-jin, with Demigra, Putine and Gravy being implied to be fallen Shin-jin. emigra, Putine and Gravy after all, originally lived on planet Kaishin/Core/the Heavenly Realm, before their banishment, and even looked like Shin-jin(Demigra and Putine looking like Golden fruit Shin-jin, and Gravy looking like normal fruit shin-jin with anatomy and posture, and essentially looks like South Kai with King Kai’s whiskers. And earlier sources, ie Super Exciting Guide, stating bad and evil shin-jin, are sent to live among Makaio and Makaioshin.

It’s also notable only Supreme Kai(Kaioshin) in their Japanese Title, are named gods(specifically Kaioshin - Gods of the Kings of the Worlds) and only they wear Potara, while regular Kai, are just named Kaio - “Kings of the Worlds”, and other shin-jin, like Kibito, also don’t wear them. So I personally interpreted it Demigra was sour that he wasn’t (yet?) chosen as a Supreme Kai(ie Kaioshin - God of the Kings of the Worlds), hence his massive God complex/envy.

Also, it’s interesting on how Xenoverse 2 foreshadowed the Super Future Trunks saga finale. The two time traveling antagonists, merge with each other(Future Zamasu and Goku Black/[spoiler]Present? Zamasu, Mira and Towa, although the last one, was forced), and the timeline(Future Trunks timeline in Super, Toki Toki’s egg in Xenoverse 2), and the villains are evil Shin-jin(possibly with Mira and Towa(even more implied with Towa, as she also seemingly wears Potara), and Mira is only partly, in a large part being a saiyan, but Goku Black was also inside a Saiyans body, and Merged Zamasu was part shin-jin, part saiyan, like possibly Mira is), the merged form is of a white haired Super Saiyan, and Future Trunks is [spoiler]offered to live in a less depressing timeline(Future Trunks by Whis, Xeno(Future) Trunks by Gohan, after he Trunks him[/spoler]…and both hapy endings involve creating an alternate timeline, with some doubts about it…
