I don’t care if this choice is overdone but I’ve always pictured Celestia with a sword.

Can confirm, double-sided battleaxes are super fun to use.

Mhmm, that same type of hope is why I ship Twiluna. It makes absolutely no canon sense, but I find them adorable and gives me that same sort of hope/vicarious enjoyment.

Yeah, without a bit of intervention or change, the canon characters aren’t getting together anytime soon, especially Discord/Celestia. Still ship them though, since I just find them adorable together. It also gives me hope that I can fine the romantic variant of love myself.

I semi-ship Dislestia. It’s one of those that sorta makes sense and can be pretty cute. I just don’t see it happening anytime soon. Maybe in a few decades. It’s not like they have any reason to rush.

Makes sense. It was more that the two he’s usually shipped with is Fluttershy or Celestia, and since you indicated that you would hook Celestia with Chrysalis if you if her being single wasn’t an option, so I was curious. Funny on how the two you don’t ship (Celestia and Discord) are the only ones I do ship (with each other, no less).

Honestly, at this stage of who he is as a character, I ship him with nobody. He’s making great progress in learning how to be a friend but he’s definitely not ready to take on a relationship. I don’t think he sees anyone as his equal yet, even if he does care immensely for Fluttershy.
 
Now, if perhaps in the future, if he continues to improve, possibly Fluttershy if he doesn’t take several decades to get over himself. Possibly Celestia in the further future. All rather boring, safe answers. But what I think could be fun is if he used to have a thing with Tirek. I doubt Tirek would ever reform so it probably wouldn’t ever be a thing in the future.
 
But yeah, considering he’s a one-of-a-kind embodiment of chaos, he just might not be too interested in romance or even just sex.

Hey, Silfoe, this is off topic but if you had to ship Discord, who would hook up with? Yes, Fluttershy is an answer, but you’re a creative woman (let me know if I got your gender wrong), you’ll think of something different. I’m asking this more for fun than any real reason, so I’ll try not to judge you base on your answer.

Maybe Twilight could try using a spear like her brother. Not very thematic perhaps, but practical like Twilight. A mace would be good too considering Twilight’s lack of finesse.

Luna using a ‘crescent’ axe, Cadence using a bow similar to cupid, both can be attributed to puns, while Celestia looks bad ass with a battle axe, kind of a missed opportunity she isn’t using a Morning Star.
 
As for Twi’s weapon, she has fought a number of times in the shows and comics, she always prefers to just straight up use magic blasts.

Twilight’s a mage, so she needs a staff.

I imagine her being a bit of a Mystic Knight from Final Fantasy V: imbuing swords and knives with elemental or other spells depending on what she’s facing.

those aren’t really tanks anymore, just general warriors. The term tank specifically denotes a focus on defense.

Twilight’s left foreleg looks like a mangled stump on this otherwise fine picture.

Tanks usally are associated with heavy armor. The weapon doesn’t matter, but shields do indeed help.  
Plus some tanks can dual-weild two-handed weapons… think Barbarian.  
Though to be honest, it varies from game to game…
 
Twilight should totally use conjured magical swords… maybe pull an Emiya/Archer from time to time…

I kind of like the idea of Twilight picking up martial arts. At least three of her close friends know how to weaponize their bodies.
