Yeah exactly.
The only actually-smart drone I saw during finale was the one playing Twilight.
She was the only one that really tried to blend in.
Well, also Thorax…but he doesn’t count.
She does sound very clever for drone.
Not really, we saw one of the other Changelings, a normal one, disguise itself as Discord, who is quite larger than an average pony, height wise.
Plus, there was the season 5 finale with a Changeling disguised as Tornado Bolt.

that would be really damn cool if that really was chrysalis. at the same time, though, i can’t help but wonder if changelings are constrained by the size of the pony/object they wish to imitate; chrysalis is noticeably bigger than the average pony and might’ve only been able to convincingly imitate cadance due to their similar builds. come to think of it, that would also be headcanon so who knows.
