No,he was hated/disliked for good reason.Mainly for being made from the mold of Barbie’s Ken,the aformenetioned lack of care put into the EQG world and the batshit idea of shipping an HORSE and a human a la SonicXElise in Sonic 2006.People dont hate Flash character (or lack thereof) they hate the Hannah Montana tier tropes he represent (Brad Mac Dreamboat high school type of character in a cliché high school setting)
ironically, I find that the way they were brushing him off in LoE actually gave him a little bit of character development. in a meta sense I guess you could say that he was coming to terms with becoming a background or tertiary character

Part of the blame also goes to the butthurt fans who initiated the hate in the first place. At least there are different fans today who do a bit of better work on him with their fanart <COUGH>PaulySentry and dm29<COUGH>

Blame it on the writer of how pointless for him to be in the show then never try and fix it to make it better in future show.
Yeah, I think they realized when the first movie came out that he was hated (for mainly bullshit reasons) so in the second movie, they made him flat out unlikeable and the last two movies they basically brushed him to the size just to please the fans.
A company shouldn’t have to bend over to batshit fans (at least not in the way they’re doing) because when they do, it pleases no one in the long run
The writers half-assed the character in the first place and now they doing mad damage control
Also I always imagined Zoidberg would look terrifying in any even vaguely realistic style. He’s still an incredibly loyal friend, just don’t ask him for a medical check up.
