Could be at the time he said that, he thought they weren’t going to use whatever he wrote for season 7.
Anyway, of his five episodes, while there’s only one I really likes better than an average MLP episode, I did really like how most of them felt different without feeling like they didn’t actually belong in the MLP:FiM universe.
Maybe he worked on the story for an episode. Like Dusedau did for season 6.
Also, OP forgot to mention his season 5 episodes (Party Pooped, Hearthbreakers, and I think he wrote one other, but I can’t remember).
