‘Tis not a problem. Comments are meant for discussion, just so long as it doesn’t get out of hand. The site has seen far worse tangents than this short conversation.
Not too often, but its always pretty sad to me when someone expresses genuine interest in me, and I have to sit them and explain to them in detail why that’s a bad idea. I don’t enjoy hurting peoples feelings.
If I somehow wound up in a place exactly like Ponyville, I’d try to triple down on the self improvement. Even I have dreams of good friends and lasting relationships.

There’s also the argument that such a jolly song would put a “Spring” in your step, so to speak. You can sing a song about anything year-round, but the sisters probably chose Spring because it appealed to them, especially as young fillies.
Well, the original already pretty heavily implies it’s a springtime song, what with ladybugs waking up from hibernation then, as well as an increase in sunshine.
