Technically speaking, the artist owns the art, not the uploader. Even though the uploader “did it first” that does not make them somehow the “owner”.
you realise that the site mods remove duplicated images right?… i fail to see why putting a comment on your own picture prevents people from stealing it. ususally people prevent that by just leaving a signature or link to your art page on the picture itself.
