and you’re right about that they are great friends and most relationships start on a strong friendship trust me I’d know. I’ve been in 2 STRONG friendships then later dated and for the first time I felt REAL love so that why I would choose Fluttercord over Dislestia. The chemistry is adorable. plus they compliment each other so well. so it is relatively a great pairing if anything has a lot of potential to it. (btw I could be wrong about the whole “you arguing with others about it” stuff) you seem familiar the name but I am not QUITE sure if it’s you so don’t assume I was saying it for a fact.

Fluttercord is much more popular than Dislestia. Also, every ship will involve altering the canon personalities. While Flutters and Discord are great friends, I doubt Flutters could live with him, but by changing her personality enough, she will!

No not really I’m just tired of seeing it everywhere then again I’ve seen you under some things arguing with others about it. at least I think it’s you. I’m not even THAT into shipping. I am just tired when people constantly ignore a logical thing and delude it into something else and the same goes with Twicord considering he spent one episode trying to cause chaos for her and then once again people delude it into something else despite him constantly trying to piss her off. 99% of discord ships make no sense besides fluttershy. it’s just annoying to ignore basic chemistry. and that’s why I am tired of it.

Excuse me. Basically my point is cay-cay is not a romantic name of which Nick Confalone the writer has established. I think it means royalty either that or a mocking gesture since Celestia begins with a “c”. That can be a common nick name if your name begins with k or c. I call my sister Cay-Cay actually her name is Katy. I have called her that now to think of it. Basically the point is the dislestia ship as a whole is just a fanfic made up delusion without interaction or much cared for towards each other. When people try to pretend Discord and Celestia are romantic that is where I am confused and try to damage control Fluttershy and Discord the main focus but somehow think Dislestia is romantic considering they have no interaction or don’t care for each other?….

they writers don’t either caycay doesn’t mean anything romantic given he doesn’t care for her to begin with. “cay-cay” which the writer said how it was spelled isn’t a romantic reference. it’s “c” celestia cay cay it’s a silly mocking name. Not only is it not in his character especially for someone he doesn’t care for and bother to attempt to interact with each other and obsesses over soembody else yet some people think a nickname means romance? what logic is that??? not only did he spend the entire episode wishing he was with fluttershy and never once celestia but he begged to go with her. I mean goodness sake if they think 2 characters who don’t interact or care for each other is somehow romantic or canon? then fluttercord would defiantly be a lot more. tbh it doesn’t take alot to become a ship at all. but with fluttershy and discord we see actual build up chemistry and his COMPLETE and total obsession over her which is a little to much for platonic love. I do get the whole appeal of dislestia but fluttercord has appeal to. I think you would be better of asking what the appeal of dislestia is you might find more concrete answers to that ship. considering there are on whole 2 different maturity levels. if anything he would be romantic with fluttershy first before anything considering shes the one he thrives over and gets him the most AND the best relationships always starts on a strong friendship. i mean spike has a crush on rarity yet they are also friends. so it isnt that bad. cay cay is nothing more than a mere mocking name for “royalty” as I have seen. plus being most of the writing staff (the ones who decide who the characters are what they like and the show as a whole) tease fluttercord alot even on twitter yet I have yet to see dislestia. not only did meghan mccarthy mention JUST fluttercord in her favorable ship question if she had to ship 2 characters together but she shot down dislestia being the main show writer of it all. but shes gets dislestia tweets all the time jsut the same as fluttercord yet only mentioning them? get over it already dislestia shippers. ship em but dont call em canon cause they aren’t at all in any way what so ever. if any ship is superior any discord ship its fluttercord. i hate when people just ignore it and damage control it for someone he doesnt care about. you know if fluttershy was celestia they would be hoop and hollering canon. just because they dont like the fluttercord ship they just choose not to use common sense. when people say cay cay is romantic thats where the line is drawn. it isnt _ and i dont even ship half the time.

“Closest” is the key term. My headcanon and yours is just as valid, and likely won’t alter even if Discord is shipped in the canon, even in one we never expect.

We might as well say he has eyes for Luna or Chrysalis. Headcanon is headcanon. So far he look forward to beach trips with just Fluttershy or going to the Gala with her and thats the closest to his canon dates.

Some Dislestians seem to be a little way too stubborn for their own good, like Stepandy and ILKimpossible. But well, that’s how they seem to somewhat roll.
 
But hey, if the majority of Fluttermac shippers finally moved on, there’s hope for Dislestians to move on as well. Just keep in mind that some shippers will just keep shipping despite everything.

Discord is too much developed with Fluttershy to jump ships.
