We will have to agree to disagree. I see them as much possible to happen as Connie and Steven from Steven Universe or Nick and Judy from Zootopia. Both are just friends and every writer of these shows say that they are just friends. But we know better than that. The ship has chance to happen as long as the show continue.
1.) some killjoy comes in and says “thank goodness it’s not canon.”
2.) The mad shippers come in and insist it WILL be canon
3.)Some rival ship comes in and insists THEIR ship will be canon
4.) And round and round in circles we go.
Can we not just enjoy someone’s gorgeous art??
They may be aware of it but it doesn’t mean Discord and FS will be anything more than friends in the show. And I prefer it that way. Delusional shippers may see shipping hints in every their interaction, but still they will only remain friends in the show.
Not plausible or logical now when the ship has massive following with tele plays about their fanfics reaching millions and Hasbro actually getting profit out of their toylines or comic and tv show writers being aware of this ship following.
For Hasbro it may be the FlashLight pairing that they never pulled out due to negative reception which was caused by Flash Sentry and not romance in general.

Anyway, this art is gorgeous.
Starlight/Sunburst, FLutterCord and MarbleMac are more likely than others.
With its own toylines and focus in the show it will be the first Mane6 canon couple after Hasbro decides to ship them.
All ships will never be canon anyway.
Thankfully it will never be canon.
