“Mothers of Harmony” character bio #6: Rarity’s mother.
BIO: Cookie Crumbles is a friendly and caring pony hailing from Whinnyapolis. She’s the owner of a combination bakery/bridal boutique called Boutique du Bouffant, and she’s well-known for her Rose Velvet Cake. (The recipe is a closely-kept family secret.) She may not get fashion as well as most boutique owners do, but what Cookie lacks in fashion savvy, she more than makes up for in kindness and pleasantries. After Rarity was born, Cookie’s husband Hondo Flanks convinced her to move the growing family out to Ponyville. Cookie was hesitant at first, but she was sold on the idea after seeing for herself how perfect the peaceful countryside village was to raise an active filly. (Good thing, too, because Cookie’s kindness element was just the thing needed to bring down Nightmare Moon when she was released.) Nowadays, Cookie is perfectly content baking her delicious family recipes for other ponies and publishing cookbooks.
ELEMENT: Kindness
DESIGN: Like Twilight Velvet, Cookie Crumbles’ design remains largely unchanged from the show. Personally, I reason this to be the result of her unique pony metabolism; Cookie has always been a little chubbier than most, and I think that adds to her charm and makes her stand out more. The only major change I made was the different mane and tail style to give her a bit of Rarity-like style and flair.

Maybe the artist could do a Fathers of Harmony next or something.
In a way, it works perfectly like canon–we saw that the Elements the first time were not orginally the ones that coicided with each pony (exception: Velvet, and then Twilght Sparkle, both of them have sparks/stars), they were just shapeless gems.
I just kinda wished that there was a male that could have wielded one of the elements as well. Just makes it seems like all a stallion is for is a sperm donor, since it seems that all important stuff happening happen to be all females.
And before you respond, I’m well aware that there are probably plenty more mares than stallions, and can’t help that. Just as a guy myself, I noticed that as well.
