To be honest if somepony else was singing it with a better voice, then I might of listened to it as well, but like y’all I can’t listen to Spike sing.
The whole song about how ponies should try to believe that a changeling can change. This makes me think Starlight sees herself in the changeling here.

What do you mean? It’s just a callback to the opening of the episode and bookending it.
If you mean why is starlight in this episode at all considering she did nothing and contributed nothining to the plot, the problem or it’s resolution then who knows.
