no, as long as they prey is whole and alive when consumed, then it’s soft vore. and yeah, actual hard vore is not a pretty sight. another common misconception, as keith said, is people thinking graphic digestion counts as hard vore. it doesn’t. the hard/soft divide only matters when the prey is being devoured, what comes after that is its own thing

I am moderately amused that people recognize me by name for that. :V Starlit Flare did a good job of it though. The only point of clarification is that hard vore specifically refers to things like chewing, cutting people up, cooking, that kind of (unpleasant) stuff. Soft vore can involve digestion and fatality if you want it to, but the majority don’t want it to.
 
It all comes down to, in my imagination, picturing how it would feel (ignoring some of the unpleasant details like lack of air and soforth, because its my imagination, and I can, you know, imagine) on both sides is amazing. ♥ That warm, slick flesh massaging me on every side, the satisfyingly full sensation and knowledge that I’m holding someone else as close as I possibly can, the sense of trust with consensual, the sense of power and domination/submission when one party is less willing (and you can do all kinds of fun combinations with that) and so on.

Vore comes in many shapes and forms, there’s soft and hard vore, where soft generally ignores digestion, and hard goes through the whole process. These two are grouped as Oral vore, but every orifice has a vore connected to it, the more common ones (besides oral) being Unbirthing and Anal- and Cock-vore. Some also identify as the predator, and enjoys having something alive, crawling inside of them.
 
I was in to Soft vore before I even found porn for the first time. I used to imagine myself being eaten by my sleeping bag, and feeling the excited fluttering of my senses. At the time I thought I was just playing a game.
 
I’m not really sure why I find it arousing, just as little as I understand why some others get turned on by feet, tight latex, asphyxiation, or any other “normal” fetish.
