Thanks for being civilized. (Apart from most here)
To answer your questions, no I don’t see too much ‘diversity’ in the asscrack of Finland where I live.

I was not hating on this piece when I commented that this wasn’t too diverse in regards to skin colors, but alot of you seemed to get all antsy-pantsy about it.

What?? Kilala97 is in the DNP list?

It’s a shame, I really love their artwork…

It’s also a shame that characters drawn with a different skin color and body type can start so much drama.

It’s 2016 y’all, let people draw what they want to draw. We aren’t the SU fandom.

People seem the lack the ability to tell the difference between liking something and it being good.

Let’s start with a little honesty here. I’m not attracted to dark skin. I can fully admit when a dark skinned woman is attractive, but I don’t find myself sexually attracted to people with darker skin tones.

Does that make me a horrible racist that should burn in hell? I’ll let you decide that. Every one of the girls depicted here is ‘attractive’, even if I don’t find any of them sexually attractive. RD and FS are probably the closest for me, though I don’t really like how AJ looks here either. Odd, that.

But did you see the distinction there? I didn’t say dark people weren’t attractive because I didn’t like them, the two issues are mutually exclusive.

I think most people commenting are commenting on tbe description more than the actual pic, like it or not what is written there while admirable is a charged statement.

You’re not going to undo thousands of years of prejudice anytime soon, that said the sentiment is admirable. I personally don’t see it as necessary to bring it up, the pic doesn’t NEED justification for why it is the way it is or why the characters are drawn the way they are and the artist shouldn’t feel the need to explain her choices at all.

Sadly all the shitposters forced kilala to impose a DNP on this site so we won’t be seeing any more of her artwork on derpibooru now, thanks guys I hope you’re happy with yourselves, if only kilala could look past all of the trolls to see the number of loyal fans she has here, but the troll layer is too thick

If you hate black people, you should stop watching the show. You’re bad and you hate people.

Ignoring the obvious, we allow anonymous comments because there are people who want to comment on images that may contain things they don’t want to be publicly associated with. The fact that a few people abuse that anonymity to be shitheels doesn’t negate the benefits of this system.

For anyone still wondering, here’s what they’re supposed to be, from the previous humanized image;

SO, with that, these are my Humanized Mane 6 and Spike~
Aj is Caucasian
Rainbow is Filipino
Rarity is European/Afro-Caribbean
Spike is Japanese
Twilight is Indian
Pinkie is African American
Fluttershy is Middle Eastern

And for the people that want an all white cast;

These are my interpretations. Not all of you will agree with it, and that’s fine~ There are plenty other people with different interpretations that might fit your idea of what they look like.

If you genuinely believe she’s wrong for making this, you are a shameful person. If you genuinely believe her work is bad because of diversity I see on a regular basis, you are a shameful person. If you say what you say just to get attention, you are the worst kind of person in the world.

The best I can do is ask for the drama to stop, but even that won’t make a difference. Anonymous comments should never have been implemented in the first place. It just leads to comment sections like this.

Oh no! This art is good, but I’m scared of skin tones other than Nazi-Aryan white! Better accuse the artist of being a SJW, making a political statement, and being a liberal extremist instead of moving on with my life… Wait! I don’t have one! sarcasm
Anyone more butt hurt by my comment than by this drawing yet?

@Dofu
Oh no, I agree. To an extent. A lot of people of color who make it to Hollywood are either mixed or have Caucasian features. Tall, angular faces, small noses, big eyes, etc. I don’t know how many Asians you typically see but we’re just about the opposite of that. Pretty short for the most part, rounder faces, pudgy noses, small eyes, etc. That’s just how Asian people look a lot of the time which is why there’s such a small amount of them on TV and in movies.

But a “nice body” can be achieved if you really work hard at it. I realize a lot of people can’t and a lot of people have a harder time gaining or losing weight and I don’t think they should ever be called unattractive for that. That’s why body positivity is important as well.
