I didn’t set out to do it on purpose, but with so many of them here I just noticed the color choices I’ve been making, starting way back with Coco… So buck it, head-canon time: those people with dark skin and light (most often bluish-white) hair are totally some kind of ethnic group in my humanized Equestria.

You did it right. Thank you. We’re not racist idiots that downvote these images, no, we hate racist idiots. And seeing “She’s black because her personality seems blackish” is the kinda stuff that we can’t stand. Maybe we’ve been looking at different art, but almost every image I see of the humanized cast is usually drawn by a racist artist. So keep doing what you’re doing.
’Course, there are a couple actual racists here. Just a couple, or so.
Yeah trying to do that with Equestiea and real ethnicities can get confusing.
I mean, they’re not even supposed to be real ethnicities. I use real-world ones as short-hand reference, but I don’t think about them in this way. They’re not supposed to be our-real-wold humans, or even something like Equestria Girls humans. They’re from a humanized Equestria, which has a set of ethnicities all it’s own, and the case is even more muddled by the Pegasi/Unicorn/Earth “genus” division. And magic. Because magic.
