I’m sorry but it looks like all you did was take a human models feet and have it block the area where the actual Spike is standing at. (The feat doesn’t even look like it belongs to Spike)

I’ve actually seen much worse exampels than this. The problem here really is that the method you described is well known and overused, so it gets increasingly hard to make an effect like this look convincing.
