How do we know that ponies use genetics at all? Given the prevalence of magic in the world, couldn’t it be possible that the soul itself is the basis of cellular function? Or that magic and genetics might both be at work? Maybe the expression of earth/pegasus/unicorn is a magical aspect while other aspects are genetic? Maybe all sapient life in Equestria is genetically similar enough to reproduce with one another, but the non-genetic/magical aspects are what give them different forms.

We know, but its always a fun thing to make fun of. They did kind of imply it a bit in the show with “T- that makes sense right?” line right after explaining where the unicorn and pegasus traits came from.

Genetics. Can’t you accept that genetically, traits that make a pony either Earth, Pegasus, or Unicorn makes it possible for two non-Pegasi, non-Earth Ponies, or two non-Unicorns have children that aren’t the same species?!

I am sorry to rain on your head canon but you are completely wrong. Trollestia is not iun any way shape or form canon and I doubt you even know what a troll is. Celestia is as much a troll as Dumbledore or Obi Wan Kenobi, which none of these three are.
 
Lastly you do realize originally Molestia was simply a shapeshifting succubus that took Celestia’s form and ‘had fun’. To be perfectly honest I feel anyone that likes the Molestia, Trollestia, or The Tyrant memes are wrong in the head.
